A note from your camp staff ……
The Christian Adventure Canoe Camp is independently sponsored and organized by St Martin’s UCC, Dittmer. However, we welcome all youth to join us in the adventure! We have been involved in canoe camp at Shannondale for over 20 years. In fact it was life-long members of STM UCC, Hugo and Jeannie Kramme, who helped to start this camp because of their love for Shannondale and the residents of the area. They felt it was important for our young people to experience this beautiful land God had created and to meet the special people who live there and are care takers of the river and wood. While most of our time will be spent on the river, we hope to spend some time around the area visiting with the residents, getting to know these great artisans by their items sold at the Craft Center. Evening activities may include a visit to the Current River State Park, cave exploring, hiking, camp fires and vespers. Our staff look forward to this trip every year and don’t feel summer is complete without a visit to Shannondale.
We look forward to another great camp and invite old and new friends to join us!

CAMP MO-VAL SUMMER CAMPS…
Adventures in Christian Living
Summer Camp 2019 at Camp MoVal
The Summer Camp program schedule is set for the 2019 camping season. The 2019 Outdoor Ministries theme is Peace Works, Empowering the Next Generation of Peace Makers.
As always, Camp MoVal provides camp experiences for all children completing kindergarten through graduating high school. We also offer camps for families, grandparent grandchild, young adult, and for folk with challenges.
New for the 2019 camping season, High School and Middle School Camp will be in July, so as to not interfere with General Synod. We are also doing our first camp in complete partnership with the Disciples of Christ and this new camp will have a focus on being a camp that will be for all persons who want to attend, regardless of any barrier that might prohibit them from attending. We are so excited for next summer because we know how camp changes lives!
Camp brochures will be mailed to churches and campers around mid-January and registration will open on February 1, 2019. Also new for the registration process in 2019, we are adding online registration. More information will be available when registration opens.
As always, if you need more information please call the camp office at 636-583-2730 and we will take care of your needs. A Camp Schedule is available.
