ROUTE 66 is our favorite way to refer to the Bible (because it has 66 books) and it is also the name we have given to our new CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP SERVICE now meeting on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.
St Martin’s is a member of the United Church of Christ located in Dittmer, Missouri. This is a historic church with many families who have been members here for generations. Because of our longstanding stability St. Martin’s is a vital part of our community. This is also a friendly and welcoming church where new members find it easy to fit in.
St. Martin’s is a traditional and family-oriented congregation with an open attitude about newness. Worship is a balanced blend of both the casual and the formal. The atmosphere is often light-hearted and humorous but also reverent and moving.
St. Martin’s is a busy and active church with various activities involving parents and preschoolers, youth and seniors, a Learning Center, and Charter for Cub Scout Pack 552 and Boy Scout Troop 894. There are fellowship groups for men, women,quilters and teens. The church also hosts an A.A. support group as well as a satellite office for personal or family counseling.
We are a historic church with a bright future whose mission is to SEEK God through meaningful and vibrant Worship and Christian Education. To SERVE God through our giving to Our Churches Wider Mission, and our involvement in good works like our local Peace Pantry, Meals-on Wheels, and our Community Meals. It is also our goal to SHARE God by witnessing to our faith and reaching out to others through Mission Trips, our involvement with the Big River Ministerial Alliance, and helping local low-income families in times of need.
Our church doors are wide open to people of all backgrounds regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. So whether you are a spiritual seeker who is just starting to ask questions about God and faith, or a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at St. Martin’s.
